The rumour is that Nokia will implement Screenplay on their devices. Looks good.....
However I just think it's a vicious rumour.....
Take a look at Screenplay in use
After weeks of testing, suggestions and working out a few kinks, the developers that brought you ROCK N SCROLL have released a new application...HI N BYE.
With the shake of this accelerometer based application, one can
1.answer a call
2. end a call
3.activate/deactivate the loudspeker
Unlike ROCK N SCROLL however, this application is not a freeware, but a commercial application. For a meagre 5.99euros you can DOWNLOAD HI N BYE...well worth it for all that it does....
You also have a few settings as well to activate what funtion is enabled with a push or shake motion
KEYNETIK
It's well worth the purchase.......
Well KEYNETIK is at it again.....The guys who brought you Rock N Scroll are hinted to have a new up pending....
Apparantly this new application is called Hi N Bye. From the sound of the name, it seems to be based in relation to calling options. It also seems to be accelerometer based.
There is no official release date as yet, but as rumours are starting to fly....it may not be too long before we see the application available.
Rumour also states that the application will NOT be a freeware like Rock N Scroll. It will be a commercial application. However, no idea of specific price has been identified. It will definitely be worth purchase from the looks of it.
I will keep you updated to as I continue to build more information
It's been a while..........
But after a few hiccups Im back with a blast.....
A video of the upcoming N96
Well here is the video of the beta 1 of Rock n Scroll......
What do you guys think?
I have been honoured to be given an early release of KEYNETIK'S new motion application ROCK N SCROLL.....
This application is similar so Samir's Nokmote....using the accelerometer to imput user movement.
In my first test of this application, I can say that it looks very stable and works well. I must applaud the KEYNETIK tweam as this is what i believe as their first try at Symbian applications.
I have good news as well as bad.....Let's start with the bad news......
1. The application has a pull/push movent similar to " go back" and "enter/open"....however the downfall of this is that given the mode the user chooses (landscape or potriat) one of these movements is not easily recognizible. In Landscape, the push movement is easily recognized but not the pull movement. In potriat, it's the other way around.
This is the only "bug" so far that ive seen.
I must say that the developers of ROCK N SCROLL are FULLY aware of this issue and are trying to rectify this problem prior to the public release on the 29th February 2008.
Now the good news......
1. The application is VERY stable.....unlike Samir's Nokmote which is nearly unusable, this application is very well implemented.
2. Again I must congratulate the Keynetik team as this is their first try and S60 and insofar, this is a great stable start.
3. A few settings are available. There is a "sleep' mode so that the application does not keep on running in the background and consume battery life.
4. Game Mode. I havent had time to really use this but the fact that its there says alot.
5. It's what I will call a "dual application." In this I mean, not only is Rock n Scroll a movement based application, it is also an auto screen rotation as well!!!!! Yes, on turning your device, it also rotates the screen!!!! So here we have a combination of 2 applications into one. Well done Keynetik team!!!!
So is this the "death" of Samir's Nokmote and Rotateme? The introduction of Rock n Scroll?
Here are a few screenshots as I was not able to do a video.....(this will follow tomorrow)
just a quick glimpse of what we can expect in months to come......Feature Pack 2

"This has been the subject of much debate since Monday: Why didn’t Nokia put a Xenon flash on the N96? Why did they choose the dual-LED setup? I think the answer is two-fold, and many thanks to Mark Guim over at The Nokia Blog who captured one in video:
Dual-LEDs are super bright, and don’t require ‘charging’. Check out this video, taken by Mark at the 2008 Mobile World Congress, where he got the chance to sit down with the Product Manager for the N96 and get some questions answered. After turning out the lights, it’s really easy to see just how bright these dual-LEDs are, and how, when taking a picture, they’re able to ‘flash’ slightly staggered, so that there are basically two flashes. This will help prevent red-eye in photographs, and will also help the color to be slightly more true.
The biggest reason that dual-LEDs were chosen as opposed to Xenon flash is because LEDs, as opposed to Xenon, are able to function as a video light, which is a feature that many Nseries fans have wanted for a long while. With a bright light shining during video capture, the noisy ‘night mode’ videos should be a thing of the past, and will open up new opportunities in video recording with the N96. I believe that LED flashes will also consume less battery per flash, as opposed to Xenon, which is somewhat power hungry. Since Nokia somehow decided 950mAh was ‘enough’ for such a mobile powerhouse as the N96, it makes sense that they would try to optimize that battery in any way possible.
What do you think? Are you overly disappointed in the lack of Xenon flash on the N96, or do you think the dual-LEDs will, in the end, offer a superior solution for both imaging and video?
Now the video demonstration.......
Now the specs.......
